About
My name is Shane and I live and grew up in Switzerland. I am self-employed, selling computer hardware and teaching self-defence among other things. I am interested in personal development, to put it mildy (I am obsessed with it, to put it more bluntly). I have been influenced very much by things I have read in books, articles and blog-posts and with this blog I want to contribute to the wonderful selection of written advice, information, inspiration and entertainment already availble.
The Explorative Approach is mainly about two things:
- Testing methods for improving productivity, increasing happiness, increasing performance and anything else that improves your life. There is a ton of advice on all these things available on blogs and in bookstores, but what really works? How can you tell what’s effective and what isn’t? By exploring different options and testing them. That’s what I do and I report what I find on this blog.
- Pragmatic, practical advice that you can apply to your own life. You will find the occasional philosophical or inspirational piece here, but the main focus is on tangible, actionable advice.
I hope you like what you find here and I would be delighted to hear what you think of this blog. Please let me know in the comments section on any of the articles or send me an e-mail to shane (at) exap.net.
